Sweep: The Gowanus Brooms, 2011
For Sweep I worked with Jeff Hutchison as the creative team Husk. Together we planted broomcorn along the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. Broomcorn is traditionally used to make brooms. Our crop was transformed into two unique handmade brooms (one pictured above), symbolizing the clean up efforts around the environmentally degraded canal.
