Film and Video Editing

I edit short- and feature-length documentaries as well as narrative films. I am currently a 2022-2023 Karen Schmeer Editing Fellow in NYC. I enjoy working with directors, producers, and artists who approach their work with curiosity and openness. My areas of interest include environmental issues, the creative arts, and the LGBTQ+ community.

The Holy Presence of Joan D’Arc

A performance of Julius Eastman’s The Holy Presence of Joan d’Arc. This was filmed at Looking Glass Arts in West Fulton, NY for the UCLA Tune-in Festival.

This is the promo you can watch the full 30-minute performance here.

Fixing Food

This is the tease for a series of short films I edited that tell stories about people who are working to lower our carbon footprint with impactful new ways to gather and prepare the food we need. The series looks at five important areas where we can make changes—farming in the ocean and the air, finding new food sources, learning from Indigenous agriculture, and rescuing the food we already have.

The Story Exchange

I’ve edited over twenty-five videos for The Story Exchange, an award-winning nonprofit media organization dedicated to showcasing women entrepreneurs through videos, articles, and a podcast.

The 3 Cricketeers, recently won an award at the Yale Environment 360 Film Contest.

Native Table is part of the Fixing Food series produced by The Story Exchange and Bullfrog Films.

An Uncommon Woman

I’m currently working on a feature-length documentary about the trail-blazing opera director Rhoda Levine. Please contact me directly for a link to the work-in-progress.

Although Rhoda’s achievement is remarkable from an artistic perspective, it is important to remember she emerged as a leader in the field at a time when few women rose to positions of influence. Rhoda’s talent and grace triumphed over prejudices and serve as a model for us today.
