Electrocardiogramma:
a collection of brief portraits of the city of Rome where I lived
for almost two years. They
include: thousands of birds circling Stazione Termini,
the city of Eur, gladiator training school, and a conversation at
the UN. Rome is not on a grid, it periodically rains sand from the
Sahara, and most of all it is not what I imagined it to be. The words
"Lazio Electrocardiogramma" are spray painted on a wall
near the Tiber. To me they suggest both a pulse and a heartattack
-- like Rome itself. |
